Description

Zaber's T-LLS series products are computer controlled motorized linear slides with 0.16 um resolution and up to 10.5 inches of travel. They are stand-alone units requiring only a standard 15V power supply. They connect to the RS-232 port of any computer and can be chained with up to 254 units per chain. They can also be chained with any other T-Series products. Convenient 6-pin mini din cables on the unit allow for direct interconnection between units in close proximity. For longer distances, standard cable extension can be used.

To control slide position, simply transmit on the RS-232 port the unit number of the slide you want to move, a simple move command and the position desired. After the move, the slide will report its position through the RS-232 link. For a detailed list of available commands see the user's manual.

An optional knob at the end of the unit permits smooth manual control. Turn the knob a little and the unit will move at 0.16 um/s. Turn it fully to get a maximum speed of 6 mm/s. During a manual move the slide constantly transmits its position so the controlling computer can track it.

For XY and XYZ configurations, we recommend T-LSR Motorized Linear Slides. T-LSR slides are designed for higher load, heavier duty, and can be mounted in XY or XYZ configuration without additional hardware.

Manufacturer Informations

Zaber Technologies

Zaber was founded in 1997, when precision linear actuators all used DC motors with gearboxes and encoders requiring bulky controllers.
Zaber resolved this by integrating the motor, controller, driver, and mechanics into a single device with a small form factor.
